Bark Park Dog Agility

A fundraising campaign has been launched to buy new dog agility equipment and a memorial plaque in memory of a local man, called Roy who used to organise dog training sessions at Highbridge’s Apex Park.

The Friends of Apex Park together with Roy's friends are trying to raise at least £3000 to go towards a Bark Park  and memorial plaque in memory of Roy who used to do dog training at Apex Park. A Bark Park is dog agility equipment which would be fixed in Apex Park and free for all to use.

Roy started training dogs at Apex in the 70’s right up to 2017 when he had to give up due to ill health. Unfortunately Roy died in February 2018 .

No doubt Roy helped loads of local people over the years with socialising and any training their dogs needed. He was always at Apex Sundays come rain or shine and a lot of people (and dogs) benefited from Roy’s help.

Sedgemoor District Councill are going  to help with costs and will assist the Friends with applying for grants. The full cost is approx £10k.

Any help would be gratefully received to go towards this.

Thank you
