BMX South West District event (all day)

The Burnham BMX club are hosting a round of the south west BMX district series. This is a huge event so the car park will be very, very busy all day!

Wednesday 1st April POSTPONED UNTIL SEPTEMBER 2020

Spring Clean (10am - 12) the Friends will be doing their annual litter pick around the park. Anyone is welcome to join them, please wear sensible clothing and footwear. Litter Pickers and bags will be provided.


Sedgemoor Model Boat Club (start of evening meetings)

Wednesday evening meetings begin and continue every week until the end of August. See the Clubs website for details;

Sunday 26th April CANCELLED 

RSPCA annual mutt strutt (registration at 2pm)

This popular annual event is for Dog Walkers to come together and walk around the park in aid of the RSPCA’s North Somerset Branch. Registration forms for the event are available from the RSPCA Brent Knoll Animal Centre on 01278 782671 or online at

Wednesday 13th May

Friends of Apex Park meeting (including AGM @ 2pm) 2.30pm to 4pm

The Friends group will be meeting at the Apex Park Office. Anyone is more than welcome to pop along and say hello.

Wednesday 5th August

Playday (10am to 3pm) 

This is a  massive event and has become one of the biggest Playdays anywhere in the uk! It is free to enter and is a day for children to come out and play. There are many groups running various events in the park, most of which are completely free. Please plan ahead and make use of the additional local car parking on offer. More details nearer the time.


Wednesday 19th August - Childrens Treasure Hunt (11am to 1pm)

This is a FREE event for supervised children ages +3 years. Collect maps from Apex Office (within car park) and allow up to an hour to complete the hunt for clues around the park. There will be a small reward for each child that completes the Treasure Hunt!

Saturday in December - Santa's Grotto (1pm to 4pm)

This popular FREE annual event will be held in the Apex Park Office (adjacent to the toilets) 1pm to 4pm. Children must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult.

Want to hold an event in the park?

The park is available for hire by members of the public, civic organisations and commercial operators. Past events include fetes, bands and fairs. Sedgemoor District Council has also worked in partnership with organisations that can bring in external resources to improve the cleanliness of the park over recent years. Notable examples of organisations involved with successful pond clean-up days include the RSPA, Burnham Rotary Club, Police Underwater Search Team and the Burnham Area Rescue Boat.
